What shipping terms do you offer for China exports?

We offer FOB (Free on Board), CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight), and door-to-door delivery. Most GCC clients prefer CIF to their local port, while Southeast Asian and European clients often choose FOB. We can also arrange DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) for clients who want a fully managed logistics solution.

How do you optimize container loading?

Our logistics team calculates optimal container utilization based on product dimensions and packaging. For a standard 20ft container, we typically achieve 85-95% volume utilization. We provide container loading plans in advance and supervise loading at the factory to ensure products are properly secured and documented.

What documents do you handle for China export?

We handle all export documentation including: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, customs declaration, and any product-specific certificates (SASO, GMark, CE, etc.). For GCC-bound shipments, we also manage SASO certification and pre-shipment inspection requirements.

Which Chinese ports do you ship from?

Our primary ports are Shenzhen (Yantian/Shekou), Guangzhou (Nansha), and Zhongshan — all within 2 hours of our office. For specific product categories, we also ship from Shantou (toys), Ningbo (home products), and Shanghai (general cargo). Port selection depends on your supplier locations and destination.

1. Export Documentation

Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin (Form E / Form F / CO), bill of lading, HS code classification against WCO standards. We prepare all documents and verify consistency across papers — a single mismatch between invoice and packing list delays customs by days.

2. China Customs Clearance

Export declaration filing, customs inspection coordination (if triggered), and destination compliance check. For GCC shipments: SASO certification verification. For EU: REACH and CE compliance confirmation. For US: FDA/CPSC pre-clearance where applicable.

3. Container Loading Supervision

Our team is on-site when the container is loaded. We confirm carton counts against the packing list, verify loading sequence (heavy items at bottom), photograph the loaded container before the seal goes on, and record the container and seal numbers. This is your last line of defense — and we take it seriously.

4. Shipping & Delivery

FOB or CIF booking — you choose. We provide vessel name, ETD/ETA, and real-time tracking. Ocean freight timelines: GCC 15-20 days, Europe 25-35 days, Southeast Asia 7-12 days. Air freight available for urgent orders. Destination port coordination available on request.

What shipping terms do you work with — FOB, CIF, and what about payment?

Three INCOTERMS we handle most often:

FOB (Free On Board) — You pay ocean freight directly to your forwarder. We handle everything up to container loading at the Chinese port: factory-to-port transport, export customs clearance, port handling, and loading charges. CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) — We arrange the ocean freight and marine insurance on your behalf. One invoice, one point of contact. We include the freight cost in your total and provide the insurance certificate. Best for first-time buyers or when you prefer simplicity over freight control.

EXW (Ex Works) — You collect from the factory gate and handle everything from that point. Available, but we rarely recommend it for international buyers unfamiliar with Chinese domestic logistics.

For payment terms: most first orders are settled by T/T (30% deposit, 70% before shipment or against scanned BL). LC (Letter of Credit) at sight is available for larger orders — typically from USD 50,000. We confirm LC terms with our bank before production begins — not after — to avoid clauses that are impossible to fulfill.

What’s the difference between FCL, LCL, and break bulk — and which is right for my order?

FCL (Full Container Load) — you book the entire container. Best when your volume fills at least half a container. You pay a flat rate for the box regardless of how full it is. Cheapest per-unit cost for volumes over 15-20 CBM. Container sizes: 20GP (28 CBM), 40GP (58 CBM), 40HC (68 CBM). See our Container Guide for exact dimensions and weight limits.

LCL (Less than Container Load) — you share a container with other importers. You pay by cubic meter (CBM). Best for orders under 15 CBM or when testing a new product before committing to a full container. Higher per-unit cost than FCL, but no wasted space.

Break Bulk / Bulk Cargo — for oversized items that don’t fit standard containers (large playground equipment, stone slabs, machinery). Requires specialized loading and handling. Available on request.

How do you handle customs documentation and HS code classification?

HS code classification is the single most common source of customs friction — and the easiest to prevent. Every product has a 6-digit harmonized code under the WCO system. Getting it right determines your duty rate, whether the product needs additional certification, and whether customs flags the shipment for inspection. HS code lookup tool.

We classify every SKU before export documentation is prepared — using our HS Code Lookup tool as a reference. We then verify the code against your destination country’s tariff schedule. For multi-product shipments, we ensure each SKU has its own HS code on the commercial invoice — never lump dissimilar products under one code.

Beyond HS codes, we verify the full document set: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading, and any destination-specific certificates (SASO CoC, CE DoC, FDA prior notice). All documents cross-checked for consistency before submission.
